One of Australia's biggest disc golf tournaments of 2016 will be held at Mundaring DiscGolfPark at the Mundaring Sporting Club on Coolgardie St on January 30th ‐ 31st. A field of Perth's top disc golfers will compete for the DUDE Pro title on the challenging course in the Perth Hills.

The A-tier Australian Disc Golf Tour event will take place over two days on the world‐class Mundaring DiscGolfPark, a purpose‐built disc golf course designed and installed by DiscGolfPark Australia, a local company committed to growing the sport in the country.

This will be the second time the event has been hosted by the Mundaring Disc Golf Club at their local course at the Mundaring Sporting Club. The format will see player’s complete two rounds of the 18-hole championship layout on Saturday January 30, with the 3rd round of 18 holes on the Sunday morning. The top four players in Men's Open division will then fight it out over another nine holes to determine the winner.

DUDE will be the major sponsor of this consecutive event in Mundaring. DUDE is a local West Australian owned company designing sport specific apparel for disc golfers - the first of kind worldwide. DUDE's clothing range includes shorts with special towel attachments, jackets with disc pockets and shirts made from tech material for enhanced motion and breathability. The company will be officially launching their brand in to the US and Europe this year, with their recent selection as an official merchandiser for the first ever Disc Golf World Tour.

On the back of his recent win at the Australian Championships in Tasmania, the DUDE Pro defending champion Chris Finn is favourite to take out the 2016 title. However he will be facing tough competition against other highly ranked players including Dave Bandy, Jordan Wheeler and Andrew Ferguson.

The event takes place on at the Mundaring Sporting Club located at 665 Coolgardie St, Mundaring on Saturday January 30th 9am-3pm and Sunday 31st 9am-3pm. Spectating is free and everyone is welcomed to join the gallery and see the action. Best viewing is on Sunday from 12noon, when the top four players compete in the final.
